The Project
What is Axel's Emotional Foundations?
An emotional intelligence project for parents — and eventually, their children. The core work is upstream: helping parents understand their own internal patterns well enough to interrupt them, so they can parent from presence rather than reflex. The product line includes a free guide, a digital toolkit, a parent program (coming soon), and a children's book series.
Is this therapy?
No. Nothing here is therapy, clinical treatment, or a substitute for professional mental health care. These are practical, self-awareness tools for personal development. If you need clinical support, please seek it separately.
Do I need any prior knowledge or experience?
No. The toolkit and free guide are designed to start from scratch. The only requirement is that you're willing to pay attention to what's happening inside you — and do a bit of that practice consistently.
Is this a mindfulness program?
Not in the usual sense. The work is practical and grounded — not spiritual, not meditation-forward. You're learning to notice body signals, separate sensation from story, and interrupt patterns earlier. Those skills happen to require attention, but this isn't about achieving calm. It's about building a faster, more reliable route back to presence.
The Free Guide
What's in the 3.5-Minute Presence Reset?
A two-page PDF with a pre-reset state check, a four-step sequence (picture → body signal → story → story check), 5–4–3–2–1 grounding, box breathing, and five options for what to do after the reset. Immediate, practical, usable today.
I signed up but didn't receive the email. What do I do?
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it's not there, mark our email address as a safe sender and try signing up again. Still nothing? Contact us and we'll send it directly.
The Body Signals Toolkit
What's the difference between the free guide and the toolkit?
The free guide is a single reset tool — useful immediately, light on context. The toolkit is a full progression: seven PDFs covering orientation, reset tools, sensory awareness training, body signal and reactivity mapping, and a six-week practice journal. Plus seven guided audio tracks. It's the structured version of the work.
How is the toolkit delivered?
Digitally, by email, immediately after purchase. PDFs are downloadable and yours to keep. No subscription, no login required, no app needed.
How long does it take to go through?
The toolkit is designed around a six-week practice structure — though you can move at your own pace. The first PDF (Start Here) takes about 20 minutes. The PDFs and audio tracks are tools you return to, not a one-time read.
Is there a refund policy?
Because the toolkit is a digital download delivered immediately, we don't offer general returns. If there's a technical issue with your files, contact us and we'll resolve it.
The Parent Program
When does the program launch?
The founding cohort starts May 2026. Join the early list to be notified first and receive founding pricing.
Do I need to complete the toolkit before joining the program?
The toolkit is a useful foundation — it introduces the core tools and gives you a starting point. That said, the program is designed to build the skills from the ground up. You don't need to complete the toolkit first.
The Book Series
When is Axel's Invisible Companions available?
Book one is in production. We'll announce the launch and any pre-order or Kickstarter campaign to the early list first. Sign up on the homepage to hear when it's ready.
What age is the book series for?
Designed for children ages 9–12, though parents often find value in reading it too. The stories are built around the same framework as the toolkit — presence, body signals, and the space between noticing and reacting.
